Liquid & Conformable Embolics Summit 2026

From Classification to Mastery: Evidence-Based Selection and Advanced Techniques Across Pathologies

June 27, 2026 | 8:30 - 11:30 am CST

Liquid & Conformable Embolics

Liquid and conformable embolic agents have become indispensable tools across nearly all embolization procedures. As the portfolio of available materials — including EVOH agents, cyanoacrylate glues, conformable embolics, and emerging hydrogels — continues to expand, interventionalists face increasing complexity in agent selection and technique execution. The 2026 summit advances beyond basic material properties to focus on evidence-based selection frameworks, advanced procedural techniques, and real-world case-based decision-making across diverse pathologies. A dedicated session on the economics of liquid embolization addresses a critical but underserved dimension of building and sustaining a liquid and conformable embolics practice.

learning objectives

Upon completion of the Virtual Summit, participants will be able to:

  • Apply a structured classification framework to distinguish liquid embolic agents — including conformable embolics, EVOH agents, cyanoacrylate glues, and emerging hydrogels — by mechanism, rheological properties, and clinical indication.
  • Select the appropriate liquid embolic agent and technique for specific clinical scenarios, including trauma, venous disease, venous leak, tumor embolization, prostatic artery embolization, endoleak, and GI hemorrhage.
  • Identify key technical considerations for safe and effective use of liquid embolics, including strategies to minimize reflux, manage flow dynamics, and apply combination approaches when appropriate.
  • Evaluate the evidence base supporting emerging liquid embolic indications — including hydrogels for tumor embolization — and apply appropriate clinical judgment when translating emerging data into practice.
  • Assess the economic and institutional factors affecting liquid embolic adoption, including cost-effectiveness considerations, formulary access, and reimbursement frameworks relevant to practice building.
